Rosacea Laser
Rosacea is a chronic dermatitis of the face, especially on the cheeks and nose. It is characterized by a red coloration and sometimes includes acne-like pimples. It affects both men and women, but it almost three times more common in women, having a peak onset between the ages of 30-60.
Many things can trigger an onset of rosacea, such as stress, sun exposure, hot weather, wind, heavy exercise, and alcohol consumption, to name a few. There are also many types of treatments such as oral antibiotics and topical ointments. However, one of the best treatments for roscacea is laser treatment.
Rosacea laser treatments target the capillaries in the dermis layer of the skin. The light form the laser is absorbed by the oxy-hemoglobin which heat up and cause the capillary walls to heat up. This damages them and causes them to be absorbed by the body’s natural defense system.
Rosacea laser treatments have proven to be extremely effective in getting rosacea under control. And with a sufficient number of treatments, this method may help to eliminate the redness altogether. But, periodic rosacea laser treatments will usually be needed to get rid of newly-formed capillaries.
